I have always been in fitness/sports and wanted to give CrossFit a try. I was hooked on the first week at CrossFit Remix. Every day we do a different workout which makes it exciting, challenging and fun! When I tell people that I do CrossFit-my friends say, "isn't that for the young?" I reply with "age is just a number-right?" Yes, I may be the oldest member (57) who has arthritis in my knees- but what's nice about Remix is they are able to modify my workouts. Whatever you are not able to do- Remix will modify your workouts. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging I encourage everyone to give it a try! |
I started at Remix 5 months ago. I was nervous and felt like I didn't belong there. I was 75 lbs overweight and had bad asthma. The coaches took me in and made me feel like one of the team. I am down 40 lbs and finally see definition in my muscles. The CrossFit workouts are scalable, which means anyone can do it. I have confidence in myself that I have never had before. I attribute this to the positive thinking and atmosphere I get from the Remix team. The support I have received is irreplaceable and I can't wait to see what is to come. |
When I first walked into CrossFit Remix to talk to the trainers I was very scared and didn't know what to expect. They invited me to try it to see if it was something that I wanted to do, and after the first week I was hooked! It is like having a personal trainer every day of the week. It has been 45 days and I'm down 8" total (3.5" in just my stomach!). I'm also eating better and my cholesterol is down 75 pts and my triglycerides are down 187 pts.
